For the counties that are
providing Social Welfare/Rep Payee services, what software are you using?
QuickBooks? Excel? Something else?
And, how many clients do you
have for this? This was brought up at the annual conference, and I
don’t recall which counties also provided this service. We are exploring
moving away from QuickBooks, as our Social Security Administration audit
“suggested”.
Thanks!

In Nov 2017 a question similar was asked. Below is the question and answers posted.
We are again looking at our social welfare/rep payee program and have inquired with Payee Central regarding their services. If you are a county that uses Payee Central can you tell me if you have gotten out of the rep payee service completely and they handle all of those services for your county and what your satisfaction level is with the services that Payee Central performs. Thanks very much!!

Brown County uses Rep Payee Management.
Wadena is weeding out rep payee cases. We have referred more to the Hoge Company in Deerwood versus Payee Central. The Hoge Company has been very accepting in taking our clients on.
Hello
Rice County moved to RPM last year. We have 100 clients.
So far we like the system. It has the capabilities of doing deposit interfacing with the bank so we will hopefully move in that direction this next year. (Representative Payee Management).

Otter Tail County uses IFS. We have the two IFS systems, one used for the County and one specifically for Social Welfare.

Olmsted County also uses RPM for about 300 clients. We love it!
Benton County still uses SWS but is looking at moving away from that system. We have around 65 clients.
Mille Lacs was looking to move our SW cases to Quickbooks in 2019. Can you provide more detail about the reasons SSA is "suggesting" to move away from Quickbooks?
