What arrangements do other
counties have with their vital stats or recorders offices to purchase birth and
death certificates? Do you create journal entries to transfer funds from
your PH&HS departments, or are you requesting and presenting a check each
time you need to purchase a birth or death certificate? Or… what other
creative ways are you handling these purchases?
Thanks!

In Olmsted, the accountant for the licensing area does a journal entry to transfer the funds and record our expense.
In Carlton, we just write a yearly check and they keep it in an escrow type account and record when we need a birth or death certificate.
We get billed monthly and then an ACH transfer is done.
Pennington Recorder bills us and we issue them a check.
Scott - Pennington
Brown Co completes a journal entry 1x per month for all birth / death certs during the month.
MNPrairie gets billed from Recorders office and we issue them a check.
