What do each of you do in
preparation for your state audit? I have some very cryptic notes from the
previous Fiscal Supervisor, and none of it makes sense. I’m looking for a
list of year-end tasks or journal entries that you do to close out books, or
prepare schedules for the audit.

I suggest that you reach out to your state auditors and ask them what your predecessor used to provide them for the audit. They'll want to help you since it makes their jobs easier, too.
