Benton County has been using this system since it was introduced. I find it so much easier than the paper billings and I have randomly asked our providers if they like it and the answer is always yes. They don't have to wait for the mail to be delivered and then hope once they put it in the mailbox, that it will arrive at the county for payment. I have always suggested that they print off the completed billing form and have the parent sign and date it for their own files, in case they would ever be audited.
Here at Itasca County we use MEC2 Pro also. Being we are a smaller county we don't have the high volume of day care providers overall. We have approx. 10 providers that bill through pro. They all like it, and I would echo Diane's comment above as to the reasons why. It is certainly a good option for the providers.
We started this about a year ago. It was met with mixed reviews from some of our providers who are not very tech savvy. We held trainings for all providers if they wanted to see how it worked. Most were pleased with it. I had a few who thought they wouldn't be able to do it. I did have to spend extra time with those few and now they use it exclusively. The worst part for them was setting their password. One of the providers does the after school daycare at the school. She was constantly struggling with the paper billing because it was hard to track. She has not had one issue since she went to MEC² Pro. I would highly recommend it!
Clay began using it in 2011. Streamlined the process a great deal. Ditto to all of the previous positive comments from counties! Our staff and providers appreciate it very much.

Our providers love it. There is a glitch sometimes with provider passwords but that is all. It is much easier than paper billing.
