I have the Public Health Fund in IFS split into the 6 essential public health areas (IFS program element). Administrative staffing and expenses fall under the assure adequate infrastructure category, but I only include about 1/2 of the expenses to assure adequate infrastructure and allocate the remaining expenses among the other 5 areas.

Our department/unit structure is pretty much setup so that we are able to breakout our departments into the 6 essential areas. Some additional adjustments are needed from the unit level. To increase efficiencies we have built an excel workbook that mimics the PPMRS report and has a data entry section in which we actually enter the different line totals into. Formulas are used to pull from our data entry section to build our report. This allows quick data entry and a finished product when we are done. Only minor changes are needed from year to year as a result. If you have further questions, feel free to contact me. Lori Krull, Olmsted County (krull.lori@co.olmsted.mn.us)
